
The Turnover Ceremony for two slope protection projects in the Municipality of Dinagat was led by Province of Dinagat Islands Governor Nilo P. Demerey, Jr., MPM, yesterday, March 19, 2026.
The two projects amount to a total cost of over 14 million pesos. These include the Construction of Slope Protection in Dinagat MPBS and the Construction of Slope Protection Phase 2 in Barangay Mauswagon. These projects were successfully implemented through the collaboration of the provincial government and the Municipality of Dinagat under the leadership of Mayor Simplicio S. Leyran, Jr.

Meanwhile, the Governor also visited patients at the Dinagat District Hospital and inspected ongoing and completed projects within the facility, which are being further improved to provide better services to the people of Dinagat, especially during emergencies.
The projects implemented at Dinagat District Hospital through the Provincial Engineering Office, led by Provincial Engineer Lord Iveen T. Maybuena, include the following:
- Improvement of the 2-storey building
- Improvement of the DDH water system
- Construction of slope protection
- Procurement of a generator set
- Establishment of a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP)
- Upgrading of DDH facilities (Isolation and Old Building)
- Upgrading of DDH centralized substation (powerhouse)
