A beautiful islet with fine white sand and crystal-clear water, Sayaw got its name from the bird “Sayaw,” as the islet was once home to these birds. Some say the name comes from the word “Sayaw,” meaning dance, because the waves during the east monsoon resemble dancing or “nagsasayaw.”
The islet can be reached by boat in 5 to 10 minutes from the municipal pier and is located in Barangay Poblacion, Cagdianao. It is ideal for snorkeling, diving, canoeing, and kayaking during the south monsoon.
