The stunning Bonsai Forest covers approximately 100 hectares and is located at the highest peak of the province, Mt. Redondo. The forest is home to stunted, shrub-like trees that average about two feet in height, creating a surreal landscape that makes visitors feel like giants.
The forest is also interwoven with Nepenthes plants, which add to its distinct charm. This natural wonder is not only a visual spectacle but also a vital habitat for various species, showcasing the incredible biodiversity of the province. The unique vegetation thrives in the mineral-rich soils of the mountain, highlighting nature’s resilience and beauty.
Located in Barangay Santiago, Loreto, the forest is approximately a 45-minute to 1-hour ride by single motorcycle or four-wheeled vehicle from the municipal pier of Loreto.
