The Province of Dinagat Islands has recorded remarkable progress:
2021 β 33.3%
2023 β 29.4%
2025 β 20.4%
Poverty incidence in Dinagat Islands decreased by 12.9 percentage points from 2021 to 2025, including a 9.0 percentage-point reduction from 2023 to 2025 alone.
Our goal should not be limited to improving the numbers.
Every reduction in poverty should mean more families with stable sources of income, more children with better opportunities, and more Dinagatnons achieving a better quality of life.
